Why See Legally Blonde?
A special presentation of the celebrated musical
Oh My Gosh! Prepare to bend, snap and sass your way to the Bonstelle Theatre at Wayne State University this April in this premiere production by the Maggie Allesee Department Of Theatre and Dance. Join the uber-girly Elle Woods, a ditzy, superficial self-confessed blonde; albeit one whose incredible lightness of being blinds others to her true brilliance under the surface. Following the lover who jilted her to Harvard Law School in order to get him back, she discovers that following her own path leads to individual greatness, and respect from the most unlikely sources.
Legally Blonde: The Musical was created by a dean's list of top-of-their-class Broadway talent, including Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Jerry (Hairspray) Mitchell; composer and lyricist Laurence (Batboy) O'Keefe and Nell (Sarah, Plain and Tall) Benjamin; book writer Heather (Freaky Friday) Hach; and scenic designer David (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) Rockwell. LEGALLY BLONDE The Musical will take you from the sorority house to the halls of justice with Broadway's brightest new heroine (and of course, her chihuahua, Bruiser).
Opening night: 14 April 2017
Legally Blonde may be inappropriate for children aged 7 and under.
