Why See Paul Taylor Dance Company?
One of the world's premier contemporary dance troupes, choreographer Paul Taylor founded his eponymous company in 1954. Since then it's performed to audiences across the world, thrilling with its performances of Taylor's most celebrated pieces, such as the Bach scored Esplanade.
New pieces for the 2014 season include the sprightly Linger in Blissful Repose and My Wife is a Most Knowing Person, it's exploration of domestic abuse indicative of the weighty subjects that Paul Taylor tackles so skilfully. Next year the company will be performing works from other choreographers for the first time, so there's no better time to catch America's most celebrated company in what feels like an end of an era.
