Who Is Akon?

Akon has sold more records and won more awards than you can even think of, with his accolades including Artist of the Year at the Billboard Music Awards, FIVE World Music awards, Producer of the Year at the BET Hip Hop Awards and a host of nominations at the Grammys, MTV Awards and MOBO Awards. His work doesn't stop at music though, with some outside ventures including, incredibly, a collaborative project with the Senegalese Government to build an entire city in the country named Akon City.
